We begin our first novel study on October 5th as part of the last Global Read Aloud 2020. This year we are reading Indian No More by Charlene Willing McManis with Traci Sorell. As a lead up to this project, we try to find global partners willing to share experiences as we explore the story over the next few weeks. Classes connect in a variety of ways: KidBlog, FlipGrid, Padlet, Skype: marioscabral, weekly Kahoots and postcard exchanges. We are blogging frequently on various topics as we follow the reading schedule. It is exciting to work with partner classes throughout the world. We enjoy having an authentic audience reading and responding to our KidBlog posts and contributing to our Padlet. We are very excited to connect with others, especially since more than 1.2 million students in 70 different countries already signed up to participate.  This project will allow for our students to use technology tools in a meaningful way, as well as learn about other cultures, all while listening to a fantastic read aloud.
